CLEXANE® is a low molecular weight heparin used to prevent and treat blood clots. In fertility treatments, it is often prescribed to reduce the risk of thrombosis in women undergoing Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) procedures, such as in vitro fertilisation (IVF).
It may also be used to manage clotting disorders that could interfere with pregnancy outcomes, ensuring optimal blood flow to the uterus and placenta.
Back To TopThe dosage of CLEXANE® depends on the individual’s medical condition and treatment plan. For prophylaxis, a typical dose is 40 mg administered subcutaneously once daily. In cases of clot treatment, higher doses may be prescribed.
Your fertility specialist will determine the exact dosage and duration based on your needs.
CLEXANE® is injected under the skin, usually in the abdomen or thigh, and should not be injected into a muscle.
Back To TopIf you forget to take a dose, administer it as soon as you remember, unless it is close to the time of your next scheduled dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule.
Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one.
Contact your doctor or pharmacist for advice if you are unsure.
