What Is Clomiphene

Clomiphene is used to induce ovulation in women with ovulatory disorders. It may also be prescribed for unexplained infertility or as part of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) procedures.

In some cases, it is used off-label to boost testosterone levels in men with hypogonadism.

How To Take Clomiphene

The typical starting dose is 50 mg taken orally once daily for five days, beginning on the fifth day of the menstrual cycle. If ovulation does not occur, the dose may be increased to 100 mg in subsequent cycles. Treatment is usually limited to three to six cycles.
